SEN Presents - Monday 20 June 2016

Our June SEN Presents explores a largely forgotten and overlooked but huge Renewable Energy resource.

Did you know the Kimberley Tides, together with HVDC Transmission Lines could supply all our electricity? Clean, renewable and affordable power for 120 years and more.

Ivan Quail has been studying tidal power from the Kimberly for many years and will tell us about this enormous renewable resource. Most importantly he will also tell us how this power can be cost effectively transmitted to the far corners of Australia using UHV DC transmission.

For a prelude to the main event watch ‘HAVE YOUR SAY’ Thursday 16 June at 7.00pm or Sunday 19 June at 10:30am on Channel 44.

AND also

Eamonn Darcy will give us an update on the recently held 3rd International Workshop on NILM (Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring = electricity disaggregation = energy efficiency through appliance specific feedback).
