Are there 50 shades of Hydrogen? Is there more to it than spin? As the world moves towards a deep decarbonised future, a range of emerging hydrogen storage solutions and associated technologies are under development globally and here in WA.
This timely event will be opened with comments from Hon. Alana MacTiernan, MLC, WA's Minister for Regional Development; Agriculture and Food; Hydrogen Industry. All three of these sectors may have involvement in a green hydrogen economy in our future.
One of Australia’s most knowledgeable experts in the field of Hydrogen research, Curtin University’s Professor Craig Buckley has 33 years experience in the Hydrogen Storage research field and is Leader of the Hydrogen Storage Research Group (HSRG) at Curtin University. Prof. Buckley will give an overview of state of the art hydrogen storage options and discuss the many options with comparisons of these pathways.
This is followed by industry experts for a wider discussion on how this emerging economy is likely to unfold.
-> Kent Ramsey, General Manager and Founder of engineering company 9 Tech Solutions will discuss the facilitation of renewable energy via the use of hydrogen energy carriers. Kent has deep domain knowledge of hydrogen and has analysed many concepts for commercial reality. Kent brings a large pin tonight to pop some hydrogen bubbles.
-> Dr Benjamin Kaebe, Director Space Industries has experience in the transfer of technologies and worked in a wide field of engineering professions. He worked as Research Associate at UWA, and as Data Scientist at FMG, mainly working at FMG’s hydrogen project.
A lively interactive panel session will follow with industry experts giving their views and opinions.
